Personal calls during work hours, regardless of the phone used can interfere with employee productivity, shop safety as well as being distracting and discourteous to others. This policy applies to text messaging on cell phones as well as cell phone calls. Employees are directed to make personal phone calls or send text messages during personal time which is breaks and lunch period and to ensure that friends and family members are aware of the company's policy. Employees are allowed to have cell phones with them at their desk or work station to take and appropriately deal with EMERGENCY phone calls or text messages. Any and all non-emergency phone calls should be politely terminated immediately and continued if needed during employee personal time, again which is breaks and lunch period. The same applies to text messages, any non-emergency text messages must be responded to during employee personal time. If this policy cannot be followed properly CTC reserves the right to revoke the privilege of having cell phones at the desk or work station. Please note CTC will not be liable for the loss of personal cellular phones brought into the workplace. Change 2.9 No Smoking to: 2.9 No Smoking Policy Circuit Technology Center, Inc. maintains a smoke-free environment for all of its employees. Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the facility. Smoking is only permitted in CTC designated areas and only during employee personal time which is breaks and lunch period. Any smoking other than detailed above is strictly forbidden and grounds for termination. Reason Employee use of Cell Phones and CTC Smoking Policy required more details to ensure employee compliance.
